Meat Shepherd's Pie

Recipe Ingredients
1 - 1 1/2 lb. ground lamb
1 medium yellow onion, sliced thinly sliced
1 - 1 1/2 cup mashed potatoes
1/2 cup diced cooked carrots
1 cup brown stock or prepared onion gravy
2 tbs. melted butter
Salt and Pepper to taste

Recipe Directions
In a large skillet or sausepan, brown the onions throughly.
Add lamb. Cook untill brown.
Stir frequently.
Add the gravy or stock.
Make the meat fairly moist, as it will absorbe during cooking.
Add salt and Pepper to taste.
In a 5quart casserole dish, layer carrots, labm, potatoes from bottom to top.
Drizzel melted butter on top.
Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes.
It is done when the potatoes on top are browned and crispy.
